Home Health Aide Training
The Home Health Aide (HHA) Training Program prepares individuals to deliver safe, caring, and effective in-home care to elderly disabled, and chronically ill clients. The program combines classroom learning with hands-on skills training ensuring that students are capable, confident and job-ready.
Upon successful completion, graduates are prepared to work in home care agencies, private homes, and community based environments, and to meet applicable state or employer requirements for home health aid employment.

What You'll Learn
Our curriculum follows New Jersey state requirements and covers everything you need to walk into a client's home with confidence:
• Roles and responsibilities of a Home Health Aide
• Patient rights, HIPAA, and confidentiality
• Infection control, hand hygiene, and PPE
• Vital signs: temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure
• Personal care: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding
• Safe transfers, body mechanics, and fall prevention
• Nutrition, meal preparation, and special diets
• Care of clients with dementia, stroke, diabetes, and chronic illness
• End-of-life and hospice support basics
• Emergency response and basic first aid
• Documentation and professional communication
• CPR certification (American Heart Association)

Tuition: What's Included?

Payment plans available. Pay a deposit to enroll, then split the remaining balance across the course. Ask about workforce-training scholarships and WIOA funding through your local One-Stop Career Center.
Eligibility - Who Can Apply
• 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or GED required
• Able to read, speak, and understand basic English
• Pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting
• Negative TB test (we can refer you to local clinics) and basic physical
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
